Harrogate Spring Water are making amazing advances in recycling, proving that sustainable can be profitable.
With record sales in 2017 reflected in a 24% growth, smashing the market average for bottled water.
Harrogate Spring Water have been zero waste to landfill since 2010 and have invested over recent years in the most environmentally efficient technology available.
Now they are more than 50% rPET for their Harrogate Spring Water and Thirsty Planet PET products.
This is the highest level of any UK bottled water brand and now matches the recycled content of their glass range of 50%.
Harrogate Spring Water have worked hard with their supplier to secure ongoing provision of guaranteed UK, post-consumer rPET, with their supplier owning the only PET reprocessing plant in the UK that is able to produce food-grade rPET.

Focusing on the move to rPET, their 100% recyclability as well as their ongoing partnership with Keep Britain Tidy.
PET represents one of the cleanest and greenest packaging solutions available. It uses less energy and produces less greenhouse gas emissions than any other alternative packaging solution. It is light-weight, saving on fuel during transportation and is energy-efficient to recycle.
